Set up student self-assessments

- [Voiceover] At the beginning of a term, or even at regular intervals, it might be helpful to have your students self-access their knowledge of the material so they can have an accurate sense of their goals and comprehension before a high stakes event like an exam or final project. In D2L, this is done through the "Self Assessments" tool. Think of self assessments as quizzes without a graded component where students can test themselves. To create a self assessment, pull up the Self Assessment tool which can be found under "Assessment" on the "Course Administrations" tab. To create a new assessment choose "New Self Assessment." You'll be taken to a place holder screen where you can put in basic information, give the assessment a name, such as "Mid-term Self Assessment". You can assign your self assessment a category if you choose. And finally, designate whether you'd like "hints" to be available. When you're satisfied hit "Save and Close." Now we're back to the main self assessment…
