Create a Photoshop 3D extruded model for use in Dimension

- You may not be a 3D artist but there's a pretty good chance that you already know how to use Photoshop. With the skills that you already have, you can easily use Photoshop to create models for Dimension. First, we need to create a new document so I'll do a Command + N to go into the new document window. And then I'm going to switch to art and illustration and choose the 1,000 pixel grid. But I want to change the resolution from 300 to 72. And that's because using a lower PPI makes the physical size of the document larger and that'll create a larger size model. The pixel dimensions of the Photoshop document has no bearing on the physical size of the exported model but the canvas dimensions do. So now we're ready to create our 3D models. And I have this idea to create a 3D version of the Splash logo from the Splash soda brand graphics. We'll start by creating some text and I'll jump to my type tool with the t on my keyboard.
