Changing environment maps

- [Instructor] In this lesson we're going to look at changing environment maps to match a model and the changed appearance. Let's start by importing a 3D model, and we'll import this simple bowl that I've created in Photoshop. We'll add a basic texture to it. Let's add this metal texture so we get good reflections, and it's currently reflecting the built-in environment map, which shows a couple of lights in a room. If we go to filter by lights, we can see a whole range of different environment maps we can use here. And as we select them they're applied to the model, and we can see it reflects different environments. And all of these initial ones have a single light in it as if it were set up in the studio like that. There are some more dramatic environment maps further down. Such as this one with the strong side lighting and very dramatic colored lighting. Or you can choose one of these extra built-in images that has just a reflection of an outside space.
