Work with graphics artboards
- [Instructor] I want to work on the background models to create the chili box and bottle, but it's difficult to see them because they're hidden by the group in the foreground. We can use the scene panel to temporarily turn the visibility off and on for any models in our scene. So let's just turn the visibility off for the entire lemon flavor group. We'll select the lemon flavor group here and click the visibility icon on the right-hand side. That hides the front group, but let's zoom in to the background group so we can see it a little better. I can use the Command or Control + Plus to zoom in a bit and then switch to the hand tool to pan the canvas with the Spacebar and then we'll just move this over so we have a better view. Then I'll double click on the box and that drills down into the group and selected the icon of the lemon. Here in the properties, we see the image of the lemon. If I click on that, we'll find that there are art boards, we're on the first art board, I'll switch it to the second art board, and there's the chili. It maybe needs to be repositioned a little bit so I'll pull that up in here. And then I'll select the pattern decal and do the same process. Select the image, switch the art board, and now we have a chili box. Let's do that for the olive oil bottle too. I'll double click on it which selects the decal and then I'll click on this and switch this to the second art board. And there we go. We have our chili-flavored olive oil. Let's back out of the scene panel and turn the lemon flavor back on and then do a Command + Zero or a Control + Zero to fit the canvas back on the scene. This was so easy. By spending a little time on the front end to build your graphics using art boards in Illustrator or Photoshop, you can save a ton of time when constructing the 3D scene and dimension.
