- So when you're using figures in your drawings to give them a sense of depth and scale the first thing to consider is the angle of perspective that you're looking at. So here you've got this really nice strong angle and that's going to help draw the viewer's eye into the scene. You've also got an object here, the bike in the foreground, which gives us something to focus on. And then other objects especially like these bushes here, they get smaller as they go into the distance. So I'm just going to draw those lines out very subtly with pencil to start with and it will be give you a good basis to work from. So the first line I've drawn on is this eye level line. The next line I'm just going to get the first major line of the perspective. So once I've got those two lines in I can start to build the sketch from there. So I'm just finding my way around the scene looking for these major verticals and horizontals so I get this idea of things going into the distance. You notice my pen…
