(music playing) - Another thing to look for in your sketches, is a juxtaposition between man-made structures and natural elements. So, here I've got a nice composition with the strong geometric shapes of the store and the shadow lines and I've got these great trees that are all within the urban landscape. So, by just having the straight lines of everything around it, in contrast to the more organic shapes of the trees, it can really help to add interest to urban sketches. And, also by adding that pop of color of the greens, I will be using some of these watercolor markers to put those colors in. It can really give you the illusion that there is a lot of color in your sketch, even though it is just very simple, just with a dark green and then a light green. So, I'm going to sketch out with a pen to start with to give us a basic foundation, and then add those organic shapes on top.
