- [Instructor] Having a logical structure for your web pages not only helps you when it comes to styling with CSS, it's vital for assistive technology for the blind and other disabilities and good structure is likely to improve search engine ranking. One approach is to create the basic html structure and then add the content as shown earlier in this chapter, but an equally valid approach is to add structural elements to existing content. This works particularly well when you've imported the content directly from Microsoft Word or copied and pasted from a formatted word document. I've opened index.html in the chapter five 05_04 folder of the exercise files. It contains the text content for the Landon Hotel home page marked up with html headings and paragraphs. Live view allows you to select only one html element at a time, so you can't use that to add structure to this page, but you can use design view, code view, or the DOM panel.
