- [Narrator] Linking to external sites is basically the same as creating an internal link. You can use any of the methods shown in the previous video but of course you can't browse for the external file because it's not on your local computer. I've scrolled down to the footer in index.html in the chaper606_04 folder of the exercise files. It contains a disclaimer that the Landon Hotel is a fictitious brand created by Lynda.com and I'm going to create an external link to Lynda.com. I'm working in live view and I'm using Dreamweaver CC 2017.1 so I'm gonna do something which is new to this version of Dreamweaver. If you're using an older version of Dreamweaver you'll have to use one of the other methods that I showed you in the previous video. I'm just gonna go into live view and select the words Lynda.com by dragging across then in the Property inspector, in the link field, I know the URL for Lynda.com.
