- [Instructor] Building an HTML table and populating it with data is time consuming. But Dreamweaver makes light work of this task if you already have the data in a spreadsheet or a database. In previous versions of Dreamweaver, there was an option to import directly from Microsoft Excel. Although that option has been removed, it's no great loss. It worked on Windows only. And to be honest, it created a lot of unnecessary code that you needed to clean up before styling the table with CSS. What I'm about to show you now works on both Mac and Windows and it produces really clean code. What's more, it's quick. I've opened dining.html in the chapter nine 09_02 folder of the Exercise Files and I'm going to import a sample menu into it. The data is in this folder here, assets. It's this file menu.csv.
