Minimizing strokes

- [Instructor] Let's walk through two ways to radically reduce file size in order to export the most useful SVG files. Now, in this poster when it was created no one was paying attention to how many paths we were creating or how many points. That's fine during the design phase. During the creative stage don't worry about file size, but now that we're getting ready to send this to SVG we are going to want to see what we can do to radically reduce that file size. So, I've selected the entire artwork, and I'm going to choose Object, Path, Simplify, and let's see what we can do to make this file much smaller. I'm going to turn on Preview to see how the file will look with a simplified path, and as you see, I can tweak the different settings, and as I do I've got Preview on so I can see how that looks with the artwork. If I want to compare it to the original artwork, I can, and so between the Angle Threshold and the Curve Precision, more Curve Precision reduces file size less. Less Curve…
