- [Instructor] Let's look at how to control randomness, or, random patterns. I'm starting with an exercise file with two sets of base panels. In the first set we'll explore how to control the percentage of the appearance of two different panel types, and with the second, we'll introduce a controlled fade from one type of panel all the way at the bottom to another type of panel at the top. We'll visualize this all in Dynamo using color differences. Let's look at the first set of panels. We should look at the list structure of the surfaces. We can see that this is flat, which means there's no distinction based on rows. We'll need to create a separate, random number per panel, and operate on that. So, let's find out how many panels we have. We'll use List.Count. Next we use Math.RandomList to produce a unique random number per panel.
