Finding curves in Dynamo
- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to discuss using Dynamo to find lines or curves from Revit elements. Dynamo offers a number of ways to extract curves. I'll show how to use the element geometry, get location and select edges node to extract curves from geometry in the Revit model. Let's get started by opening Dynamo from the manage tab. Click open and browse to the chapter one exercise files and click to open the 01_01_Begin_Lines.dyn. Make sure to de-select open in manual execution mode and click open. In this workspace I've preset a few selection nodes so we can select elements inside of Revit and see how they react inside of Dynamo. We'll start by looking at the select edges node, which allows you to click select inside of Dynamo and hover over edges of Revit geometry. Edges that are selectable to the select edges node highlight in blue. You can select a number of edges, and from the options bar you can click finish to finish your selection.
