- [Instructor] In this video I'm going to show you how to use Dynamo to place legend components to match the list of wall types in a Revit project. Working with legends can be challenging because of limitations to which commands are available in Dynamo through Revit's API. Due to this fact, some of the techniques I'll use are workarounds. I'll make sure to point them out. In this video I will show you how to read the list of finished walls and copy a legend component, then set the legend component type to match the wall types in the list of finished walls; and, finally, label the walls, making a graphic legend for each wall type. Let's get started. From the View Tab, under Legends, select Legend. We'll start by making a legend, and name it WALL LEGEND. I want the scale to be 1/8th-inch equals one foot, to match the scale of my drawing. I'll click OK to make the legend.
