Triangular panels

- [Instructor] Now we'll look at a couple of different ways to take a surface grid of points and divide it into triangular panels, of course there are many ways to do this and we'll look at a couple. The first method on the left we'll use to divide each quadrilateral panel into two triangles in the same manner, and the second on the right, we'll use a checkerboard or diagrid pattern. Okay let's zoom in on the first example on the left. This is a two dimensional grid of points organized into rows and columns of points, and since we are operating on a panel basis or at least within the individual rectangles, we can use some of our four sided tools to help us get most of the way. So we'll use Point Grid again, again from Ampersand. This will take the rows and columns of points and reorganize them into sets of four points that describe each panel.
