Place a custom device
- [Instructor] Now that we have our own custom defined library, and a custom part, we're ready to implement that in a new project. So, to do so, I'll go to file, new, and project. Let's call this one custom for custom parts. Within our custom project, we first always make a schematic, and then we have the opportunity to start placing parts. I'll click the button here, add part. Of course now I'm faced with the entire list of all the libraries that Eagle has to choose from. Fortunately we remember exactly what we titled our custom part, Voltage-Regulator, because we happen to know the exact name, it pops right up. We can also search for our libraries, as it starts to get more heavily populated, or even go back and disable certain libraries in the control panel to make sure that this view is easier to read. I'll select my voltage-regulator and hit okay. I'll place that right there. Hit escape, and hit escape. Now, initially you'll see that our name has just turned into a junk string of…
