- Let's take a look at adding b-roll to your project. Now, if you're not familiar with that term, b-roll is additional media that helps tell your story, video clips, images, screen capture, graphics, all that kind of stuff. For example, here in my demo project, I talk about LinkedIn Learning, and then show a screen cap of the site to help illustrate. Let me show you. If you need a little guru guidance locking down quality sound, check out the oodles of tutorials here in the Learning Library. Now the clip of me talking is the a-roll, and the screen capture on top of it is the b-roll. I usually start my main story line and add the b-roll later but you don't have to. There's no reason why you couldn't start with your b-roll and add a voiceover or a talking head video clip to help illustrate the point.
