Adding transitions

- [Instructor] Camtasia with a library of transitions. A transition is just a visual change between two clips. You might use a transition to show a change in time, place or topic, or just to make things more interesting. Transitions live here in the transitions panel. If you want to preview a transition, just mouse over it. Transitions work on any type of visual media. Video, images, slide decks, whatever. You can add a transition in between any two adjacent clips. I'm going to go ahead and add this flip transition between these two video clips, and we'll see how that looks. Or you can add it at the end. Like this. Or you can add a transition at the beginning. Like this. Now, just because you can add a transition at all these points on the timeline, doesn't mean you should. Next time you're watching a show, take notice of the transitions. Most professional productions tend to use them sparingly, and when they do, it's usually the subtle ones like a fade or a fade to black. That said…
