- So now let's talk about agreement, in terms of grammar. There are four basic types of agreement I want to familiarize you with, subject to verb agreement, logical agreement, pronoun agreement in terms of consistency, and then pronoun agreement in terms of clarity. Let's have a look at an example of each to see how they work. So subject-verb agreement, let's look at this sentence. The number of dentists who recommend Trident have or has grown, what do you think? Well, it's actually has grown, because the subject is number, and then of dentists who recommend chewing Trident, that's a prepositional phrase, so the verb, has, has to agree with the subject, number. So what we want to do to practice or maybe break down a question after we've done it, identify both the subject and the verb to see if they agree. You can do that in real time, as well.
