- [Corbin] New to Camtasia is the cursor smoothing effect, which pretty much does exactly what it says. Here I have a screen capture with what I would describe as really bad driving. The cursor is all over the place. Now while this is not uncommon in screen caps, I find it very distracting. Enter our hero, cursor smoothing. And you can find cursor smoothing here in the cursor effects panel. Just drag and drop cursor smoothing to your clip. Let's give that another look. You can see Camtasia has smoothed out my cursor moves. Now you may or may not like this look. In some recordings, I found cursor smoothing to be too smooth. Sometimes it looks robotic or removes mouse moves that unsmooth or not, I actual need in my recording. Now if this is created an issue for you, realize you don't have to apply the affect to an entire clip. For example, if I scrub to about here and split my clip with control T and remove the effect, my original mouse movements return. So, you may consider only adding…
