How leaders view training

- Leaders think about the training function in the same way they think about any other internal business activity. Fundamentally, leaders expect every business activity to contribute to achieving organizational objectives. The starting point is understanding how leaders treat training activities within a business context. Doing so allows you to better position your next training proposal. Generally, leaders view training from three perspectives. First, leaders consider some training activities as a necessity. Some examples include onboarding new staff, training on new equipment or techniques, and the classic compliance training. Recognize in these instances, there is no need for approval or support from your leaders. They just expect you to do it.
