- [Instructor] So the first things we need to talk about in arithmetic are the basics, so these basics are actually frequently tested on the GMAT. So in this video, we'll cover integers, factors, multiples, remainders, and the related concepts to those concepts. So let's start with integers. Integers, what are they? They're basically whole numbers. So what's a whole number? It's just a number that's not a fraction or a decimal so these would be numbers like negative one, zero, 25, 1,004 so I think you get the picture. So what numbers would not be integers? Numbers like 1/2 or 0.2, okay, so those are not whole numbers. Got it. So what about factors? Factors are numbers that divide evenly into an integer. So let's say we had the number 12 and we were asked, what are all the factors of 12? The way that I like to do it is just to do one goes into 12 obviously, two goes into 12, six times three goes into 12, four times, does four go into 12? We already have a four right there so we're…
