Questioning for effective learning

- Asking questions is one of a trainer's most effective learning assessment tools. But it's also one of the most poorly applied ones. Learning is allusive, but there are concrete steps you can take to hone this skill. Skill trainers prepare in advance to ask good questions. Doing so provides critical insights ensuring participants will leave feeling they received value. The first step is to focus on what you hope to achieve with your questions. Focusing on the right areas go hand in hand with the learning objectives and help you to eliminate unnecessary questions. For example, let's say a learning objective for an Excel course is to create calculation formulas.
