- [Instructor] A bit of time invested up front can save you a lot of headache and hassle down the road. I'm going to show you a few tips to set yourself up for recording success. First off, create a separate clean distraction free recording account that you use only for creating your videos. You won't have to spend time cleaning up your desktop for each project or have to deal with your personal or business stuff popping up during your recording. Close out any apps or browser windows you won't be using for your recording. This will minimize distractions and free up processing power. Conversely, open up any apps, browser windows or even multiple tabs you'll be using during your recording. Use a script of some kind. Even bullet points are helpful in keeping your recording on track and succinct. I like to view my notes on a separate laptop or monitor but a printed sheet will work just as well.
