Types of research design
- Research design is the foundational work you'll do to argue for the need for your research study. Your research methodology is your plan for gathering and analyzing information. It's your blueprint. Research design is the connective tissue for the distinct elements in your study. You're going to put together a sample population, conduct an intervention to gather data, and use a research instrument to ensure the validity and reliability of that data. It's how the parts of your study will function properly and how you can ensure that you're collecting the right data from the right population to address your research problem. Research design starts with identifying the focus of your research or the research problem. There are four main research designs in quantitative research.
