- [Narrator] Okay, in this video, I'll explain the basics of how the GMAT adapts to you in terms of the difficulty of each question. So the GMAT is a computerized adaptive test which just means that during the course of each section, questions are going to adjust in terms of difficulty depending on how you do. If you answer correctly, the next question will probably be a higher degree of difficulty. And if you answer incorrectly, the next question will get a little bit easier. The algorithm that decides how hard or easy a question is is not 100% consistent or predictable. For instance, the GMAT has a pretty good proportion of experimental questions in each section. So definitely don't freak out if you see a question that looks too easy, it doesn't necessarily mean that you're not doing well. But be aware that the test will get harder or easier by question depending on whether you get something right or not. So just a few CAT tips. Earlier questions are worth more. It's very important…
