- [Instructor] Hi, I'm Oliver Schinkten, and thank you for joining me for this week's episode of Teacher Tech Tips. This week, I want to show you a great way to incorporate the power of video technology for improving student engagement, as well as student learning, in the classroom by using Skype. Skype is a free tool that you can use for video chat and video conferencing, and it's pretty easy to use. Now if you haven't used Skype before, you can find it at skype.com. Here you can access the web-based version, or download the desktop application. This week, we're not going to learn about the specifics of using Skype, but if that's something you are interested in, I suggest checking out the Up and Running with Skype course by Lisa Larson-Kelley.
