Using apps for media-based activities

- Mobile learning becomes even more powerful when you combine media and collaboration. You get the benefits of social learning while focusing on specific content that you create. We're going to look at how to use media sharing sites and digital storytelling tools to do this. Media sharing sites foster collaboration with fellow mobile learners around common learning goals. Let's say that your in a kinesiology class. As you and your classmates practice different fitness and exercise techniques, you can take pictures of body positions and make videos of body movements that you'll be tested on later. You and your classmates can use a media sharing app like Flickr to create a private gallery or album to share those photos and videos. You can all comment on each image or video, refer to related class materials, and make annotations related to the correct body position or movement.
