Using apps for social activities

- Whether a teacher assigns a group project or you create your own study group, you can use Facebook to extend your group's ability to collaborate as fellow mobile learners. Let's start by creating a Facebook group. Using the Facebook app, select the More Options icon in the menu bar. Then choose Groups and click the Add Group button. Give your group a unique name that your classmates will recognize. If you want to make it open for others to join, change the Privacy setting to Public. The default setting is Closed, meaning only group members can see what's posted there. This helps create a safe environment for sharing. Then invite your classmates to your study group. Research shows that diverse teams process facts more carefully and are more innovative, so go beyond your normal circle of friends. Student teams often function most effectively when members have designated roles, such as facilitator, recorder, prioritizer, explorer, harmonizer, fact checker or devil's advocate. You can…
