Welcome

- [Instructor] Hi, my name is Vince Kotchian, and welcome to Preparing for the GMAT. I am the founder of Vince Kotchian Test Prep and, since 2008, literally my entire job has been being a full-time tutor and class teacher for the GMAT, GRE, SAT, and ACT. So in this course, I'm going to share the most important things I know about GMAT prep with you to help you prepare to do your absolute best on test day. First, I'll explain the basics of the GMAT, what it is and how it's scored. Next, I'll talk about how to devise a smart, effective, personalized study plan. Then I'll cover the four sections of the test, quantitative, verbal, integrated reasoning, and writing. I'll cover everything, from conceptual knowledge you'll need, to techniques and strategies you can use for each type of question. GMAT prep can feel overwhelming at first, since there is a lot to cover and it can be easy to get discouraged. Stick with it though. The more you practice, the easier it will become. Over time, if you work hard, your confidence and skill will increase and so will your score. So let's get started.
