Okay. So with your screen capture software selected, your microphone or audio input device connected and your recording location picked out. You're nearly ready to start recording your video training material. But first, I want to talk about some ways you can set up or prepare your computer for recording. These are just some tips that will help you achieve a clean, professional looking presentation. First, clear your desktop of any clutter. You should avoid having any files, folders, icons or open windows on your screen that you don't need to have in your movie, as they can tend to distract the viewer from what you're teaching. This can be a good opportunity to move files from your desktop into folders or to trash them too. Because if you're like me, the desktop is your go to location to store all sorts of random files. Also take a moment to look at your dock if you're on a Mac or the task bar if you're on Windows and then quit any programs you won't need for recording. They may be…
