- Now that we have a good idea as to what WordPress syndication is, let's go ahead and get the FeedWordPress and FeedWordPress advanced filters installed and up and running. We'll begin by adding a new plugin. Simply search for FeedWordPress, and the plugin looks like this. FeedWordPress, it's by Charles Johnson. Go ahead and hit the Install Now button, and activate the plugin, and then we'll add the second plugin, FeedWordPress advanced filters, and it's right here, FeedWordPress advanced filters by Baz Schulling. Go ahead and hit Install Now, and activate that plugin. After you install the plugins, you'll notice a new menu item down here on the left-hand side called Syndication, and this is where you'll configure FeedWordPress. Let's start with the second item, Feeds & Updates. The first thing we want to look at here is the update scheduling. Now, initially this is set to cron jobs and manual updates.
