- This brings us to the end of WordPress in the Classroom. We started off this course by attempting to answer the question of why choose to use WordPress in your classroom. We then created our own subdomain on stateu.org, and got an instance of WordPress up and running. We spent quite a bit of time configuring and fine tuning our site, to meet the needs of our open connected course. Then, we installed several plugins to help us manage our site, including FeedWordPress, and FeedWordPress advanced filters so we could syndicate content from our students and open participants. And then we installed Simply Exclude so we could better refine the flow of content in our site. We covered a lot of ground, but one of the great things about WordPress is that it's a tool that can continue to grow with you as your needs grow.
