Using the RSS widget for content flow
- RSS stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication, and it's one of the foundational technologies that makes WordPress such an amazing platform for teaching and learning. Because it will allow you to quickly and easily focus your student's attention on the most appropriate content and conversations going on in your site and all the hard work is already done for us. In an earlier movie we told WordPress we wanted to use custom settings for our permalinks for our site. This one really simple setting change will allow you to create an RSS feed from virtually anywhere in your site including from any category, tag or discussion thread. To create an RSS feed from a category such as all student posts, navigate up to the "Streams" menu we created earlier and then click on "Students".
