Create views

- [Instructor] There are two ways to create views when working with Enscape. The first way is inside of the Revit environment. If I zoom in, here on our Floor Plans, Level 1 to where we have our building. Something that I did in the previous exercise which was the Asset Library exercise was I created a camera view from over here looking over in this direction. Well, I would like to do now is to create a camera view here on the inside of the building. To create that camera view, what we'll do is create a view which means we need to go to the View tab on the ribbon, then select on the words 3D View, click on Camera. I'm going to place a camera right here at the front door. Then anything that shows up inside of this cone, that's what we'll display inside of our camera view. So I'll move this cone all the way over to here, click, let go and now we can see the way that the inside of this building looks right after you enter those front doors but there's another way that we can create a view that can be used by Enscape and that is by well, being actually in Enscape. So what we can do is come over here to the Enscape tab. If for some reason you have not already launched Enscape, go ahead and start it now. Then underneath Views, the next thing I would like to do is actually try to find that view that I just created. Well, if I start to scroll down here, I can start to see that I'm not seeing any of the views here but if I click here where it has Views, there's this 3D View 1. This happens to be the camera that we just placed. So what we'll do is that we'll select on this 3D View 1 just to make sure that that's the view that we're looking at inside of Enscape. Then with Enscape launched, what we need to do is then come over to Enscape, click. What you should get is a view that looks very similar to this. Now the next thing that I want to do is create a new view on the inside of this building. So what I'm doing is I'm holding down my left mouse button just to look around. Here we can see the people walking around outside. If I come over here, I think I'm going to come over towards this room. How do I handle that? Well, I could either spin the wheel on my mouse or I can hold down the W and hold down my left mouse button at the same time. So once again, that's holding down the W which means move forward and then the left mouse button which means look around in order to come into this space. Now the next thing that I could do is actually create a view based off of this view that we're looking at right here. To do that, we need to create that view back inside of Revit. So what I'll do is I'll go ahead and minimize my Enscape, though if your Enscape happens to be on another monitor, you can leave it right where it's at. The next thing that I'll do is I'll select on Create View. It's asking what do you want to name this view? And for right now, I'll just leave it as Enscape View 1 but as long as it was highlighted like that, you can type in any name that you would like for this view and it would show up here underneath your Project Browser. Click on OK. Notice how your Enscape View 1 is now available there underneath the Project Browser. If I double click on that, this is that same Enscape view except it's created a new view inside of Revit to represent that Enscape view. Additionally, what that means is that if we come up here to Enscape, click here, notice how you have Enscape View 1. That means that if I decide to move to a different view and in this case I just move to a different view inside of the Enscape environment. What I could then do would be to come back up here again, click on the Enscape View 1 to go back to this view that we just created. So for instance, if I decide to come in here, I'm going to go to Enscape, see this is that original starting view that I was in, I'll just slide this over to the side so that we can see this a little better. I'll click over here, I'll click the Enscape View 1. Once again I'll click here, I'll click on my Enscape and now we can see it has now saved that view so that we can always come back to it whenever we're giving presentations inside of the Enscape environment.
