- Underneath the general settings, there's an option for input. Now, input is mostly about your mouse and how you're going to use your mouse within the inkscape interface. The first one is mouse speed and as the name sort of implies, it really is how fast your mouse can move inside of inkscape For slower computers, you probably want to increase that for faster computers, you probably want to slow it down. Same thing with movement speed, movement speed, on slower computers, you probably will want to speed that up a little bit on computers, where it's just really, really fast, you'll probably want to slow it down for mouth smoothing and movement smoothing, in both cases, it's actually either smoothing the way that your mouse movements are, or just your movement through the space, so that it's not jumping as you're moving around.
