- [Instructor] This list is about 750 rows or so. 2 We want to analyze it by way of a pivot table. 3 We'd like to know how much money each department 4 is spending on compensation, and some other things as well. 5 And we're going to be taking advantage 6 of some of the built-in analytical capability 7 of a pivot table. 8 This data has no empty rows or columns within it. 9 We'll simply click within the list, 10 go to the Insert tab in the ribbon, 11 leftmost button, Pivot Table. 12 And after verifying that this is correct here, 13 the location of the data, we'll click OK. 14 And we're on a new worksheet. 15 This PivotTable Fields list can be anchored to the right 16 if you double click its heading. 17 Might be there already. 18 I'm going to click the box for Department.
