- [Instructor] If you work with charts in Excel, 2 and particularly column charts and line charts, 3 you have some scaling options 4 that you might not be aware of. 5 And sometimes they can be used in a misleading way. 6 On this first worksheet here, 7 we want to create a chart based on this data, 8 and we can either highlight the data, 9 which is typical and actually the recommended way. 10 But if the data we're looking at is surrounded 11 by empty cells and/or worksheet boundaries, 12 we can simply click within it. 13 And a quick way to create a chart is Alt + F1, 14 that's what the function key F1. 15 Alt + F1, we've got a column chart, 16 drag it off to the right. 17 And by the way, a quick way to pull in a title here, 18 we don't want Chart Title to stay there, 19 I want that data over in sell A1. 20 Now that happens to be a merged cell, 21 that's not a prerequisite, 22 but we can simply click Chart Title, type =, 23…
