- [Lecturer] There are two basic approaches that you can take to filtering and Excel data list. The first is to filter based on multiple fields, for example, for the data I have here, I could filter by year and state. Or you can filter by multiple values within the same field, for example, seeing the sales data for more than one state. In this movie, I will show you how to filter a list using multiple values within the same field. My Sample Files are 01, 04, multiple values, and that is an Excel macro enabled workbook, you can find in the chapter one folder of the exercise files collection. My goal is to filter this list based on the values in the state column. I'll start with two states and then go to more than two. I'll move to the Visual Basic Editor by pressing Alt F11.
