- [Instructor] When you use the IF function in Excel, 2 if using it with multiple nested IFs, 3 as we're about to show you in this worksheet, 4 the function can get out of hand. 5 There's a companion function called IFS 6 that might work better. 7 I've got some formulas in column H. 8 I'm going to double click on the first one here. 9 And as we look at this, we're saying what? 10 We're testing cell G2 to see if it's equal to five. 11 If it is, we provide an answer of 3,000 12 and the function's done. 13 If not, we check to see if it's equal to four 14 and so on and so on and so on. 15 Toward the end here, we're checking to see 16 if it's equal to two, but if it's not, 17 in other words if all those other tests have failed, 18 our answer is the text string, "No bonus." 19 So the formula has been copied downward 20 and that's the kind of answer we see right here. 21 Now, in contrast to that, what I'm going to do 22…
