- [Instructor] If you find yourself needing a sequence of numbers, often it's pretty easy because you can use fill techniques. For example, if you want the numbers one, two, three, four, etc., down a column or across a row, you need put in only one of the entries. Often you would start with the number one. And instead of simply dragging from the corner, which would repeat the entry like this, hold down the control key, drag from the corner as far as you think you need the sequence, let go of the mouse first. And dragging across a row would be the same thing. That's really handy. And if it were a sequence where there's an interval like five and 10, put in both of those numbers, drag from the corner, Excel will sense the interval and then repeat the interval for as far as you drag this. So that's easy and fast. What about letters? What if you need a, b, c, d, e, etc, and maybe more of them? If you start with the letter…
