- [Narrator] Lots of people apply filters and then they feel they're stuck with that filter and then they start sorting and scrolling and if that's the case with you, really consider a custom filter because that will help you refine your results even further. So at this particular time, I really want to see sales related to my fruit products and it looks like they all start with the word dried here. So, easy enough, I'll go up here and click anywhere in the dataset on the Data tab, I'll click Filter, and then I'll click that down arrow here and I'll go ahead and just type in dried. And Excel gives me a preview and that looks good, I'll go ahead and click OK. But it just so happens I remember there's another product in here that's fruit-related and that is fruit cocktail. So I've got to change the filter to be a little more custom, so I'm going to clear this here and sure enough, here's that fruit cocktail product that I need to include in the filter.
