- Sparklines which summarize data within a worksheet, use a Word-like representation to summarize data visually. However, you might want to get rid of them, for example, to delete them and later replace them within a dashboard worksheet. In this movie, I will show you how to delete a sparkline in Excel VBA. My sample file is "0508 Delete Sparkline" and you can find it in the Chapter 5 folder of the "Exercise files" collection. The sparkline I want to work with is in Cell E1, and it is a win-loss sparkline that summarizes the data, positive, negative or zero, from Cells B2 through B8. If I want to delete the sparkline in Cell E1, I can do so using VBA, so I'll press Alt+F11, and here I have a subroutine called "Delete Sparkline", and my comment reminds me of the target cell address. To delete a sparkline, you need to do two things, you need to select the cell that contains it, and then you need to clear the sparkline groups…
