- [Instructor] For many Excel users, changing the font, 2 the typeface that we use in Excel, 3 is low on their list of priorities. 4 On most Excel worksheets these days, 5 if you click on a cell 6 and on the Home tab, look in the font group, 7 you're likely to see the word Calibri. 8 That is the name of the font. 9 That's called the default standard in Excel, 10 and it's been the standard since 2007. 11 Prior to that, it was a font called Arial. 12 Now, for many Excel users, 13 they don't worry about this that often, 14 but occasionally they want a special title look. 15 As I click on cell B1 16 and we look in that same location, 17 we see a different font. 18 This is called Lucida Sans or Sans, 19 however you want to say it. 20 S-A-N-S, by the way, is a French word, meaning without. 21 And in the yellow panel to the right, 22 just a brief mention of the idea 23 that some fonts are called serif fonts, 24 like…
