- In this worksheet, we've got some data 2 over in columns A through E. 3 When I see the data in column A, 4 often what I will do is change the format 5 and many times I'll use the Comma button 6 found on the home tab right here. 7 And often I'll just keep it that way. 8 Notice that negatives are in parentheses 9 and we have commas where appropriate 10 and we have two decimals. 11 Now, there are oftentimes too, 12 when I come to numbers like this, 13 the format that I prefer is to have fewer decimals 14 and maybe I want negatives to have a leading minus. 15 Also, notice the extra half space left over 16 when we have parentheses here with a leading minus. 17 We won't get that. 18 So what can we do? 19 Well, certainly not fast, 20 but let's say if we select column A, 21 what we can do is then right click column A, 22 go to Format Cells 23 and choose Number on the number tab here. 24 Decimal places zero, 25…
