- [Instructor] If you've just received some data 2 from another source 3 and you're looking at people's names, 4 like we're seeing them in column A, 5 you might want to change them, 6 those so-called Irish or Scottish names 7 that begin with MC, MAC. 8 We want the third letter capitalized from this list. 9 and the fourth letter capitalized in these right here. 10 And then there are those Irish names that begin with O 11 that need an apostrophe. 12 If you have only a few of these, 13 you might as well retype them. 14 But if you have many of them, the trick sometimes is 15 to isolate that data and then make some adjustments. 16 We can do this by way of formulas. 17 We might be able to use flash fill. 18 Let's say that in column C here, 19 we want to write a formula 20 that takes the data from column A, 21 displays it the way we are currently seeing in column B. 22 And we'll do this by way of some text functions, 23…
