- [Instructor] When you work with dates in Excel, 2 sometimes you need to know the day of the week, 3 and we can get to that easily 4 by using a function called WEEKDAY. 5 On this worksheet called Year, 6 we've got every day of the year listed here. 7 And by the way, this is easy to create. 8 Type in two consecutive dates like this, 9 drag that fill handle 10 on the lower right-hand corner down to row 366, 11 and you'll have all the days of the year listed. 12 We will put in other data off to the right here eventually, 13 but for the moment, 14 we want to know what day of the week this is 15 and maybe even highlight that in a special way. 16 =WEEKDAY. 17 The answer we get at first 18 may not be quite what we were thinking. 19 3 means Tuesday. 20 1 is Sunday, 7 is Saturday, and so on. 21 Let's display this as Tuesday, though. 22 Right-click, we can go 23 right into Format Cells from here. 24 All we need to do…
