MAXIFS and MINIFS added to the COUNTIF/SUMIF family of functions

- [Instructor] We've got two new functions 2 that were added recently to Excel, MAXIFS and MINIFS. 3 And it's worth reviewing not only what they can do, 4 but also the companion functions that have been around 5 for a while in Excel. 6 Let's start with the simple function, COUNTIF. 7 An ideal function for tabulating totals out of a list, 8 I'm looking at this list over here, we don't need to see 9 the data to the left of it, 10 but in column C, we've got status here, 11 there are 4 different kinds. 12 I simply want to know 13 how often Full Time appears in the column, 14 or in other words, how many Full Time people do we have? 15 If I click on a cell and double click its bottom edge 16 or press control down arrow, we'll see quickly, it goes down 17 to row 742. 18 So, we've got 741 people here. 19 Let's use the COUNTIF function. 20 Now, instead of typing Full Time, 21 I've got this in a nearby cell, so we'll simply use that.…
