- [Voiceover] We're looking at a worksheet called imported text. Imagine in a different worksheet, or possibly in Microsoft Word or maybe on the Internet, you've copied some data. To the left of this text that starts in B2, I'm using a function called LEN, which means length, tells me how many characters are there. This is critical. The data we see here, you can see it in the formula bar, and by the way when you don't always see everything in the formula bar, you can make the formula bar taller just by dragging its edge this way downward. You can also press Control + Shift + U and you can also point to the lower right-hand side over there, there's a drop arrow as well too and you see the keystroke shortcut. So you can experiment with that a little bit. I've got another piece of data down here. This is 362 characters.
