Record a PivotTable configuration

- [Instructor] When you work with pivot tables, you will often find that you want to recreate a particular configuration. That could be doing work with the dashboard, or perhaps as part of a presentation. You can and probably should write down the fields and the order in which they appear as well as any filters or formatting. But it is far easier to record a macro that configures a pivot table for you. I will demonstrate best practices for recording a pivot table macro in this movie. My sample file is 0701 record position, and you can find it in the chapter seven folder of the exercise files collection. On the pivot worksheet, I have a pivot table that is created from data on sheet one. Let's say that I want to create a different pivot table configuration that I will use in a presentation later.
