- [Voiceover] Sometimes you need to know where a cell gets its data from. Click on the cell with data. Of course its just raw data. This is the number 66. Click on a cell over here. It's got a formula. This cell is getting it's data from cells B1, B4, and B3. And M1 as well. So sometimes we want to know, say the bottom line total. Where's this coming from? Here's a number at the bottom here and another total to the left of it. A simple little formula here and it tells us we are going to get the data either from cell L11 or K27 depending upon which one is larger. If we go to either one of those cells for example K27 just to the left of it right here that's got a formula as well. And we can start tracing those two cells as well. In this case, G26 and G37. What we are talking about here is the opposite of the feature called dependence. We'd like to know the cell's precedence or phrased in a different way, show me all the cells which if altered will change this result. We'd like to see…
